Full Description
{1} It is likely that a cloth industry existed in Higham in the medieval and early post medieval period, although as yet there is only very limited documentary evidence, which may indicate both woollen cloth and linen production. Towards the eastern side of the township a furlong lay on Full Mill Hill, on the west side of a small valley . It is possible that earlier terrier will reveal a quite different derivation for the name, but it is possible that this represents the site of a fulling mill. (1) (2)
