Documentary sources: Shown unnamed on Bryant's 1827 map; marked as Croughton Mill on 1830 1 inch OS map
At the east end of the buildings is the mill house, a two storey and attic stone building with slated roof and dormer windows on the east side. From each end of this, wings extend eastwards. These are also two-storey, of stone with slated gabled roofs. The southern wing extends west, beyond the house, as a range of two storey buildings, presumed to be the mill. Old photos show a large mill pond on the north side of the mill buildings.
Significance: Despite its dereliction, this site is of considerable significance because it is the only mill in the county that remains unaltered since it ceased to be at work. It could be of county significance.
