Full Description

{1} Former twin railway tunnels on the former LNWR Northampton to Market Harborough branch, 460 yards long, the western bore dates from the opening of the line in 1859. The eastern bore was dug when the line was doubled in 1879 and contains a chimney vent. The portals are of blue brick. The line was closed to rail traffic in 1981 and the eastern bore is now open to pedestrians and cycles as part of a linear park.
