Full Description

{1} Two storey brick built corn mill. The millpond on the south side fed an iron overshot waterwheel (removed by 1970) driving three pairs of stones. From 1885 until 1940 steam power was used as well as the waterwheel. Now converted to a dwelling.

{2} A very large mill pond remains on the south side of the mill house adjoining the site of the former mill. The former mill-house is of two storeys on the north side, facing the road, but the south side has only the upper storey showing above the dam for the pond. The walls are of stone and the former slate roof has been replaced by composition roof tiles. Converted to residential use.
