1729 Thomas Buswell, miller
1864 Allchin steam engine in use at mill
1940 Combined use of water and steam power continued until at least this date
1971 The iron overshot waterwheel had been removed by this time
1978 Mill demolished by this time leaving only the mill house
Shown on Eyre's 1779 map un-named; Bryant's 1827 map marks it Astwell Mill.
