Building record 8445/3/4 - WWII Pillbox

Destroyed World War II Type 22 pillbox at Sywell Airfield.On the edge of the aerodrome 40m south west of the entrance to Wood Lodge Farm from Wellingborough Road.

{1} Type 22 pillbox; brick walls and concrete roof. Now destroyed.

{2} East facing pillbox made of mixed materials (brick, stone, breeze, concrete). Purposely designed for site. SP832682
