Full Description
{1} Type 22 Pillbox. The type 22 pillbox is a regular hexagon in plan with an embrasure in five of the sides and an entrance in the other. The embrasures are suitable for rifles or light machine guns.
{2} Type 22 pillbox. DESTROYED. [site from Air Ministry record site plan for Sywell airfield: pillbox is building no. 71].130m NE of the Aviator Hotel, beside the Wellingborough Road.
