Full Description

{1} D and E-E on the sketchplan are fragments of a road camber slightly off axis to the road shown on the 1725/1763 map, but aligned to Kingsthorpe Mill. D is a chance find in a surviving woodland strip between housing and industrial estate. E-E us a prominent camber crossing the former Warren in Dallington Park, found by the writer in September 1993.The writer suggests they demonstrate very strongly that there is a Roman road from Duston towards the Kettering Roman settlement through Kingsthorpe.
