Full Description

{1} In 1961…"The entrance was through a locked and heavy door, leading into a passage, with a low ceiling, or maybe there was an accumulation of debris on the floor, which made the ceiling feel low. We entered the chamber and looked down into a deep reccess surrounded by a platform, on which was lying broken staging. Above us were a pair of iron doors, the building was dry, no water lying in the bottom of the bell shaped interior.
