{1} Amongst other premises requisitioned for Lancaster work in Northampton during WW2 (see also 1160/388) was Ludlow Bros of Birmingham, who used part of Manfield & Sons shoe factory and Cantilever Shoe Co, Wycliffe Road. Electrical wiring, sub-assemblies.
