Full Description

{1} House, formerly rectory. Dated 1841. Limestone ashlar, slate roofs, stone end and ridge stacks. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Central gabled porch has double-chamfered stone doorway with 4-centred head and double-leaf doors, cut spandrels and hood mould. Octagonal pinnacles to angles, double-chamfered 1-light windows to sides and stone-coped parapet and gable with datestone. Porch is flanked by narrow sash windows with double-chamfered stone surrounds. Bays either side break forward and have chamfered stone mullion and transom windows to ground floor, 2-light chamfered stone mullion windows to 1st floor, all with pairs of small sashes and hood moulds, and small sash with chamfered stone surround to attic gable. Plinth, 1st floor string course and bracketed stone eaves. Single-storey, 3-window wing to right. Interior noted as having open well staircase with simple turned balusters, carved tread ends, and ramped and wreathed mahogany handrail.

{3} Prominent buildings include Blisworth House (c.1700) to the south-east of the church, the Old Rectory (1841) to the west of the church, and of course Blisworth Tunnel (1793-1805). The church stands to the west of the village, and to its west is the Rectory House.
