Full Description

{1} House. C.1690. Squared coursed limestone, artificial stone slate roof, brick stacks. 2 storeys and attic, 4 bays. Doorway in second bay from right has wood lintel, C20 part-glazed door and C20 stone porch. One-light window to right with moulded stone frame. 2-light window to left with stone mullion and moulded stone frame, similar 3-light window in left bay and similar 2-light windows on first floor with one-light window above doorway. Right side has 5-light window with stone mullions, moulded stone frame and moulded hood on ground floor. Similar 2-light window on first floor and one-light attic window. Interior not inspected.

{3} Valenciennes Farmhouse (Grade II listed) and outbuildings photgraphed in response to application for conversion of barns. Valenciennes Farm redundant for agricultural purposes and out buildings in poor state of repair. Farm house itself in good condition. (Interesting to note small cottage to the rear of farmhouse). In total 10 colour prints and 6 slides were taken of the site prior to conversion. "As existing" drawings and site layout plan supplied by the developer as part of the application are also attached.
