Full Description

{1} Cottage. Late C17. Squared coursed limestone and ironstone. Artificial stone slate roof, flanking brick and stone stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central doorway with wood lintel and ribbed plank door. 3-light window to right has C17 stone hood and C18/C19 wood mullions and iron casement. Window to left similar but with wood lintel. C20 windows on first floor. Mezzanine window left of entrance is C17 of two lights with wood lintel and wood mullion. Coped gable with kneelers to right. Interior: Stop chamfered spine beams. Open fireplace with two bread ovens. Staircase C20 but in original position left of entrance.
