{4} The continuous western street frontage is divided into four principal components: two 17th-18th century cottages, between which is a large baroque inspired block on c.1911-12. The fourth component is an L-shaped addition at the south of the frontage, of c.1920s in date.
The northern section fronting the road is the oldest part; the steep roof pitch in the north gable showed that it was thatched at some point. The taller building at the southern end of the site was originally the farmhouse.
Sources includes detailed description of alterations made to house during the 20th century.
