Building record 46/2/19 - Icehouse c.75m East of Aynhoe Park

Ice-house built 1818; constructed in brick.

{1} Icehouse. C18/C19. Earth mound terraced up in tiers. Brick vaulted interior.

{3} Ice-house built 1818. Constructed in brick, it lies in the pleasure grounds close to the Park House. Mound has since been made into a rockery. Includes three passage ways and two doorways before reaching egg-shaped ice chamber.

{4}1932 Ice House had new flower bed erected on roof. 4 terraced walls built around it, round bed on topmost part.
