Full Description

{1} House. Dated 1779. Red brick with flared headers (Flemish bond), C20 plain-tile roof, brick ridge and end stacks. 2-unit plan. 2-storey, 3-window range. 3-panel door to left of centre in moulded wood surround with overlight and straight hood on brackets. C19 sash windows to ground and first floors, all with gauged brick lintels and keyblocks. Plinth, 3 stone steps to door, storey band and moulded brick eaves. Datestone and County Fire Insurance plaque between first floor centre and right first floor windows. Moulded brick-coped gable to left. Interior not inspected.

Building shown on early maps as public house. Now domestic/retail usage.

{5} A level 2 building recording survey was undertaken prior to conversion. The buildings had formerly been used as a Conservative Club since c1901. It has a classic Georgian frontage with five sash windows and a front door with a transon window and overhang. The ground floor of the building is largely taken up by a billiards room.
