Summary

Wesleyan Methodist chapel in Chapel Lane. Dated 1844, with later 19th century addition. Red brick in Flemish bond on limestone plinth; late roof. Single-cell plan. Two 2-light pointed arched windows to side facing lane with timber Y-tracery. Similar window to rearand right gable end.

Full Description

{1} Non-conformist chapel. Dated 1844, with later C19 addition. Red brick in Flemish bond on limestone plinth; slate roof. Single-cell plan. Two 2-light pointed arched windows to side facing lane with timber Y-tracery. Similar window to rear and right gable end. Plaque between windows facing lane inscribed WESLEYAN/CHAPEL/1844. Moulded brick eaves. Entrance by single-storey brick extension to right gable end. Interior: gallery at entrance end on slender square posts with simple capitals; panelled pulpit. Included for group value.
