Summary

The site of a house of 18th century, or earlier, date with modern shop windows. The building was of two storeys with attics and was built of stone with a Welsh slate roof. The building had four tall sash windows with glazing bars. It was part of the same building as 37A. The house was demolished either 1977 or after 1989 [sources disagree] and the first floor façade at 35, 37 and 37A were reconstructed.

Full Description

{1} C18th or earlier, slightly altered. Stone, Welsh slated roof with 1 dormer. 2 storeys and attics, 4 tall sash windows with glazing bars. Modern shop windows. Nos 33 to 43 (odd) and 37a form a group with St Peter's Church and Nos 1 to 3 Black Lion Hill.

{2} C18th or earlier; slightly altered; stone building with Welsh slated roof; two storeys & attics; incorporates two listed buildings;

{3} Building demolished during 1977 - watching brief carried out indicated that buildings had been considerably altered and contained little of architectural interest.

{4} The house was demolished after 1989 and the first floor facade at 35, 37 and 37A were reconstructed. The building was de-listed on 4th March 2015.
