Full Description

{1} Bridge over ornamental canal. Mid/late C18 with reused C17 balustrade. Limestone ashlar. 3 shallow segmental arches, with low cutwaters, flanked by horizontally rusticated approaches. 5 bay parapets of square moulded balusters with a panelled pier between each bay. Similar balusters appear in a drawing of the east prospect of Deene Hall c.1746 by William Brasier. (The gardens of Deene Hall are included at grade II in the HBMCE County Register of Parks and Gardens of Special historic interest in England; Deene Hall, Guide Book)
