Summary

A 17th century house known as Rose Cottage that was restored during the 20th century is situated on the northern side of Wakerley Road. The house is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a double pitch Collyweston slate roof with brick chimney stacks at the gable ends. The building is single story with an attic range lit by two catslide eaves dormer windows to the road and a third on the left elevation of the rear wing. The entrance facade has a two window range of casements under wooden lintels with a central door.

Full Description

House. Probably late C17 restored C20. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof. Originally 2-unit plan. Single storey with attics. 2-window range of C19 style casements under wood lintels, probably restored. Similar windows to attic are under Lincolnshire dormers. Central, C20 door is also under a wood lintel. Brick stacks at ends. Small C20 extension to rear. Interior not inspected but noted as having open fireplace.
