Summary

An early 19th century farmhouse located on the southern side of Gretton Road, opposite the junction with Seaton Road. The house is constructed of squared coursed limestone and ashlar with a low, double pitch Welsh slate roof with brick chimney stacks at the gable ends. The building is three storeys high with a three window entrance facade of casements under shallow stone arches.

Full Description

Farmhouse, now house. Early C19. Squared coursed limestone with Welsh slate roof. 3-unit plan. 2 and 3 storeys. 3-window range of tall C19 style casements in original openings, under shallow stone arches. Central, C20, six-panel door has similar head, and rectangular fanlight, with diagonal glazing bars. Large ashlar quoins. Ashlar gable parapets and brick stacks at ends. 2-storey, 3-window range to right, is similar and may be of same build. Rear elevation has C19 and C20 window openings. I terior: early C19 staircase with stick balustrade, 6-panel doors and panelled window reveals. Included for group value.
