The Queens Head Public house was built in 1675 and altered in 1683. It was then extended to rear during the 19th century and the interior was modified during 20th century. The building is situated on the south western side of the Main Street opposite the Church of St. Nicholas. The pub is constructed of squared coursed limestone, ashlar and brick with a double pitch Collyweston slate roof with chimney stacks at each gable. The entrance facade is accessed via a raised pavement to a four window range of three light ovolo mounded stone mullion windows to the first floor above a three window range of similar windows on the ground floor. The ground floor has two central doorways, the left is blocked and has a stone surround, and the centre right door is under a wooden lintel. To the right of centre is a datestone with the inscription: RE/1675 and to the left is another with the inscription: RE/1683.
