Full Description

{1} Farmhouse. Said to be C15th origins, C18 and C19 reconstructed mid C20. Timber-framed with C20 brick and block infill now all rendered. Thatch roof. Originally L-shape plan with lobby entry. 2 storeys. Main front is a 4-window range of C20 p.v.c. casements, probably in original openings. C20 lean-to porch with concrete tile roof, to right of centre. Gabled roof with hip to right. Rear wing is similar to main front. Flat roofed infill, between wings, is probably early and mid C19 remodelled C20. C19 six-panelled, part-glazed, door to left. Interior: entrance hall has early C19 staircase with stick balustrade. Room to left has C17 fireplace with chamfered stone surround and 4-centred arch head. Stop-chamfered spine beam. Kitchen and room to far right both have remains of open fireplaces, one with original bressumer and bread oven. Chamfered spine beams. Some timber framing is visible in the first floor rooms. Used as the Rectory from C17 to mid C20. Include for group value.
