Summary

A farmhouse with early 17th century origins that was mainly rebuilt during the mid to late 18th century is situated between Buntings Lane and Big Green. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with an ashlar facade and brick chimney stacks. The house is T shaped in plan with a three window range of cross casements under wooden lintels beneath hipped roof dormer windows.

Full Description

{1} Farmhouse. C17 origins, mainly mid C18. Squared coursed limestone with ashlar facade. T-shape plan. 2 storeys, part with attic. Main front is a mid C18 3-window range of C20 cross casements under wood lintels, some renewed. Central C20 door also under wood lintel. Hipped roof dormers, ashlar gable parapets and rebuilt brick stacks at ends. Rear wing is C17 with 2 ovolo-moulded stone mullion windows and a moulded door surround. Chamfered plinth and ashlar gable parapet. Interior noted as being re odelled mid C20 but retaining spine beams. (RCHM: An Inventory of Architectural Monuments in North Northamptonshire: p163)
