Summary

An early to mid 18th century house that is situated on the eastern side of Hemington Road. The building is L shaped in plan and was constructed of coursed limestone with a double pitched thatched roof. Brick chimney stacks are located at the gables and the building has large casement windows on the ground floor and two eyebrow dormers above.

Full Description

House. Early/mid C18. Regular coursed limestone with thatch roof. L-shape plan. Single storey with attic. 2-window range of C19 casements under wood lintels. Similar windows to attic, under eyebrow dormers. Brick and stone stacks at ends. Central C20 door also under wood lintel. Rear wing is similar with plank door to left. Interior has remains of open fireplace in kitchen, to rear. Spine beams and some C18 two panelled doors. (RCHM: An Inventory of Architectural Monuments in North Northamptonshi e: p135)
