Full Description

2 houses, forming part of a row. Early C18 and mid C19. Regular coursed limestone with thatch roof. Each of 2-unit plan. Part single storey with attics and part 2 storeys. Together comprising a 4-window range. No.31 has 2 C19 canted bay windows and Newton Cottage has 2 C19 casements under wood lintels. 5 similar casements to attic, 3 are under eyebrow dormers and 2 under wood lintels below eaves. No.31 has C19 four-panel door between windows and Newton Cottage has C20 door, both under wood lint ls and with flat hoods. Blocked door to far right is now C20 casement. Brick stacks at ridge and end. Interiors not inspected.
