Full Description

{1} Adjacent fields are marked with "Conduit" on 1839 map.

{2} C14-15th presumed well head for the water supply to the monastic grange.

{3} Well house. Probably C15th, partially rebuilt mid C20th. Squared coursed lias with a stone roof. Small rectangular plan. Square-headed opening with stone lintel. Gabled roof.

{6} Undated photo.

{7} [Former list description] There is a wellhouse at SP 6169 7428 (a), NW of the bridge over the Grand Union Canal near Winwick Grange. It is a rectangular stone building, gabled, with a stone roof probably 14th-15th century.

{8} There are traces of neither well nor building at the indicated site {7} which falls in rig and furrow pasture. A small wellhouse fitting the above description stands at SP 6204 7370. See photo.
