Base of a square churchyard cross, probably 14th century. The base may have been moved to accomodate two burials in the nineteenth century.

Full Description

{1} Churchyard cross. Probably C14. Limestone. Base only remains with square socket hole and chamfered corners.

{3} Structure. A square stone churchyard cross base, with central square socket. 0.85m X 0.85m.

{4} Undated photo;

{5} Situated at SP 7686872562 is a square stone churchyard cross-base with central square socket. Dimensions 0.85 m x 0.85 m. See photograph.

{6} If not relocated the socket stone must have been disturbed to accomodate two burials. With so little surviving and certainly with any underlying deposits destroyed it does not fulfil the criteria necessary for scheduling.
