Full Description

{1} House. Early C18. Coursed squared ironstone, thatch roof, brick stacks. Lobby-entry plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3 bays. Doorway in second bay from left has wood lintel, ribbed plank door and C20 gabled timber hood. Window to left has wood lintel and C20 two-light casement. Two similar windows to right and similar windows to first floor, all said to replace C19 sash windows. Attic windows inserted early C19 have wood lintels and old iron casements. Renewed wooden panels beneath the sills link with first floor windows. Coped gable ends. Interior: stop-chamfered spine beams and plain joists in ground floor rooms. Open fireplace. The two right bays of "Low Thatch" adjoining, (q.v.) now form part of "Hunters Gap".
