Summary
Former Wesleyan Methodist Chapel 1824 in Neoclassical style. Stucco, Welsh slated roof behind parapet and pediment. 2 storeys, plinth, and cornice. 2 fold central door in rusticated stone surround with 2 pilasters. Interior has gallery to 3 sides on cast iron colonnettes. Now an auction house.

Full Description
{1} Methodist chapel, now offices. 1824. Stucco. Welsh-slate roof behind parapet and pediment. 2 storeys. 3-window range. Central entrance has rusticated stone surround with pilasters. Double door. Arched upper windows and pedimented gable. Interior reported as containing a gallery to 3 sides on cast iron colonnettes. Interior not inspected. (Buildings of England: Northamptonshire, p.173).
{4} Wesleyan Methodist Church, New Street
The building is a large structure of two storeys and three bays which was erected in 1824. The building is now being utilised by 'Freddies Pub' and has been considerably altered. Film 2 Photo 19. (1)
{5} Stone with rendered three-bay front, rusticated surround to central entrance between thin pilasters, platband between terminal pilasters, round-arched upper windows and pedimental gable with altered tablet dated 1824.
