Full Description

{1} House, now shop. Late C17 with later alterations and additions. Limestone ashlar. C20 tile roof. Brick end stacks, the stack to left on stone base. Double-depth plan. 3 storeys plus attic. 4-window range. Projecting 3-storey entrance porch to left has hipped roof. Rebuilt ground floor has two C20 wood cased shop fronts and entrances. First and second floors have 2-light wood mullioned and transomed windows or sashes with stone cased surrounds. Modillion eaves cornice. 2 flat roofed dormers. Interior of ground floor modernised; first floor retaining C17 oak panelled roof; five staircases from first to second floor; stone chimney piece with moulded chamfers; flattened pointed arch to first floor. Interior not inspected.
