Building record 638/0/50 - No. 56 High Street (Coventry Building Society)

{1} House, now bank. Late C18. Red brick and glazed headers laid to Flemish bond. Renewed tile roof. Brick end stacks. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys plus attic. 2-window range. Entrance to right has 6-fielded panel door and panelled wood doorcase with hood. C20 window to left has C20 brick flat arch. 2 sash windows to first floor have glazing bars and brick flat arches. 2 similar smaller attic windows. Brick dentilled eaves cornice. Flat band to first floor. Interior not inspected.

{3} Late C18 in chequered brick. Old tiled roof with brick cornice. 3 storeys, 2 sash windows with glazing bars under cutter flat arches. Wide modern ground floor window under cutter flat arch. 6 panelled door in early wooden surround with panelled pilasters and small hood.
