Full Description
{1} House. Medieval origins, mainly C18th restored C20th. Regular coursed limestone with concrete tile roof. Originally probably part of 3- or 4-unit house. 2 storeys. 2-window range of C20 casements under concrete lintels. C14th/C15th moulded stone arch-head door surround to centre, now window, links with chamfered plinth. Originally said to have been a religious house. Interior not inspected. Included for group value.
{3} Observation of standing building; indications of possible medieval origins; existing structure has a 2 centred medieval arched doorway on its north side which may be in-situ; info: G.Foard 06/08/1980.
{4} Carved stonework built into No.27 High Street comprising a chevron-decorated stone at the back and a very small lancet-type window from a single stone block, and a carved head; info R.Moore 02/09/1980.
