Full Description

{1} Farmhouse, now house. Late C17/early C18, restored C20. Squared coursed limestone with Colleyweston slate roof. T-shape plan. 2 storeys with attic. Main front of 3-window range with gabled cross wing to right. C20 stone mullion windows and C20 door and porch to centre. Ashlar gable parapets and stone stacks at ridge and end. Other elevations are similar. Interior not inspected but noted as having reset C17 fireplace in hall, remains of open fireplaces with bressumers, ceiling beams and remains of original roof structure. Included for group value.

{3} Described in a Parliamentary Survey of 1649-50 as "All that Prebend or Parsonage House consisting of a faire Hall and lower Parlour and a Larder with 2 Lodging Chambers and Studdy built of stone and coveredd with slate being 3 stories high conteyning two bayes of Building. There is neare adjoyning 2 Malthouses with Chambers over them conteyning one baye, and a faire Barne conteyning 12 Bayes and Stabling a Brewhouse conteyning 9 Bayes of lowe buildings. All built of rough stone and covered with thatch."
