Building record 3472/3/3 - Vane House

Mid 18th century coach house to Horton Hall, converted and altered during the 20th century. It comprises a square two-storey building constructed of red brick with a slate roof. There is a square wood cupola to the apex of the roof with a domed lead roof and a wrought iron weather vane.

{1} House, formerly coach house. Mid C18, converted and altered C20. Red brick, painted, slate mansard roof. Square, 2-storey, 3-window range. Central C20 door with gabled hood. C20 metal casement windows to ground and 1st floors. Stone plinth and quoins, square wood cupola to apex of roof with domed lead roof and wrought-iron weather-vane. C20 extension 2-storey extension to left. Included for group value.
