Full Description

{1} C18th. Squared rubble; Welsh slated roof. 3 storeys, 2 casement windows, wood lintels. Modern projecting shop. Included for group value.

{3} A watching brief was carried out to the rear of the former bakery as part of its redevelopment. The redevelopment of the site included the demolition of outbuildings to the rear. At some time in its recent history, the southern and western stone walls of the two-storey bakery annexe were largely demolished below the first floor level to enable a further extension of the ground floor with a flat roof linking the old stone bakery annexe to a range of outbuildings to the west and the wall of an adjoining property to the south. The first floor walls were subsequently supported on the western and southern sides by steel beams, with the former south-west corner of the building becoming a stone support pier for the first floor. The outbuildings are associated with the former bakery and mainly date to the 20th century.
