Abstract/Summary

Archaeological observation, investigation, recording and analysis was carried out by MOLA Northampton during construction works at the former bakery at 38 Market Place, Brackley, Northamptonshire. A possible stone quarry of unknown date, the stone footings of an existing wall and a small area of post-medieval demolition rubble were observed. Fragments of clay tobacco-pipe provide evidence for manufacturing in the 17th century.
