Full Description
{1} Unknown source dated 1733.
{2} An area of woodland known as Upper Shrub. This wood was part of what was known as the Corby Woods, which despite being part of the royal forest, were often treated as private woodlands by the Hattons and later on the Brudenell family.
By 1886 much of the former area of Upper Shrubs had been converted into arable, probably during the Rockingham Bailiwick Enclosure of the 1830s.
