Abstract/Summary

Northamptonshire Archaeology conducted an archaeological desk-based heritage assessment of land at Forest Gate, Corby, Northamptonshire. There are no designated assets within the site boundary or in the wider vicinity. There is no prehistoric or Roman activity recorded within the site and only occasional unstratified Roman finds from the wider vicinity. The site lay within the open fields of Corby during the medieval and post-medieval period and was only developed in the late 1960s or early 1970s. The site appears to have been terraced prior to development. It is considered unlikely that archaeological remains will be present within the site.
