Full Description
{1} The manor house belonging to the Spencers of Wormleighton, was demolished c.1703. Its materials were used for the construction of the Rectory (q.v. Wicken Country Hotel).
{5} The manor house itself was described in 1427 as containing merely a hall, chamber, kitchen, barn and a dovecote worth 2s a year. It was rebuilt in 1620 by Robert Spencer.
