Full Description

{1} Archaeological material on the site consisted of post-medieval soil and building rubble at varying depths across the site. There were two post-medieval pits cut into the natural. Pit F16 was approximately 2.4m across and 1.2m deep. The lower fill contained charcoal lenses, pottery, animal bone, brick and glass. The pottery included a large proportion of single Pancheon vessel, indicating a 19th century date for the deposit. This pit was cut by pit F19 which also contained post-medieval deposits.
