Description

{1} Archaeological watching brief undertaken for the development of a single house on land to the rear of The Rectory, Hortons Lane. The watching brief was carried out during the excavation of the foundation trenches for the new building, revealing a highly disturbed mix of natural sands and Cornbrash with a large amount of post-medieval build up and rubble. Two pits were identified containing post-medieval pottery, glass and other domestic rubbish.
