Full Description
{1} Two possible early Victorian 1" lead waterpipes were located running from the house downhill. One had a stopped end and may have been detached from the first pipe. A brick lined drain was located running down the slope in front of the house for 19m. The drain was constructed from two rows of bricks laid legthwise with no evidence of mortar, this may possibly have been a spreader drain.
A path was also located made from a thin scatter of brick and stone rubble. This represents a possible bridle path from the house to the stables set between an avenue of trees.
On the North side of the lower section of the site adjacent to the driveway of the Old Dairy was an area of stone cobbles running parallel to the former northern margin of the park. This forms a possible trackway from the house to Lower Catesby.
