Full Description

{1} The original infant school in Church Street had been built as a Chartist meeting hall and consisted of a single large room 50 ft by 18 foot. There were problems with overcrowding in the school and it was not possible to extend the building as Little Bethel Church stood very close to it. The building no longer stands.
