Full Description
{1}The detailed survey of Daventry made in 1571 recorded the Mill Close as lying on the north side of the street, evidently north of the ten cottages owned by Christ Church at the eastern end of the town. . All of these references suggest that there was a mill, albeit probably not a watermill, located close to Welton Road to the north of the town.
