Full Description

{1}This pattern survived in Brackley until parliamentary enclosure in 1830 when 1280 acres of open field and about 38 acres in Banlands Common were enclosed. By this time 200 acres of Old Inclosures already existed. Detailed documentary study should be able to determine to what degree this 19th century pattern reflects that of the 13th century.
By 1425 the whole unenclosed area between the New Town and the river had become Common, defined as lying ‘in Le Banlond.
