Full Description

{1} Fulling mill, present on 1732 plan of the area (Northants Notesa and Queries). Also present on illustration of the Hall of 1882 when at least 5 buildings are depicted, three of these being in line; at least one and possibly two tenter grounds are also present. The mill was possibly later used as an alum mill.
Along the east face of the dam is a scatter of stonework including what may be some stone slates, possibly representing the site of the mill. A short distance to the east is a long earthwork platform. This could be the site of at least some of the buildings depicted on the 1882 illustration.
