Full Description
{1} British Timken arrived in Northampton more than sixty years ago. In October 1941 its Birmingham factory was churning out roller bearings at full steam yet was still falling short of the demands of war. When it bcame the target of Nazi bombers, the hunt for a new base became urgent. A new factory opened on the Duston site in Spring 1942. The Duston factory continued to expand after WWII and in 1953 a continuous production line was set up.
