Full Description
{2} A rectilinear cropmark revealed as a cropmark on aerial photographs. Prior to gravel extraction in the 1980s this area was subject to watching brief, which invlved archaeological observation during the removal of overburden in stages by boxscraper. However, no features were identified in this part of the field, possibly due to the relatively uncontrolled nature of the stripping, ephemeral nature of the features or even that they were geological rather than archaeological in origin.
