Full Description

{2} Two pit alignments, the southernmost of which runs south-east for 320m (SP88006230 to 88236209). Plan: Fig.53.

{3} Excavation by D.Jackson of cropmark pit alignments. Two pit alignments were intersected by a third pit aligment. Partially planned in two sections during archaeological investigation prior to quarrying. There was a double line of pits, some 3-4m apart and, where observed, the pits at either side were approximately opposite each other. They also seemed to be running parallel and, if contemporary, could have formed a double boundary or perhaps flanked a trackway.
